Sharing Relief, Strengthening Community

Phnom Penh, 2026 During the blessed month of Ramadan, Emaan Foundation Cambodia carried out the Ramadan Food Aid and Iftar Program 2026 with generous support from PRISM, which provided USD 24,000 in funding to make this initiative possible. The program reached vulnerable families and individuals across multiple communities.

This program was created to support families who are struggling to meet their daily food needs, especially in rural Muslim communities. During Ramadan, these challenges can become even harder as families try to prepare meals for iftar. Through this initiative, EFC aimed not only to provide food, but also to ease their burden and help them experience Ramadan with comfort and togetherness.

With the support received, the project successfully distributed 500 food aid packages to vulnerable families and provided 4,008 iftar meals across 42 mosques and community locations. The implementation was carried out in close collaboration with village leaders and mosque committees, who played a key role in identifying families most in need and organizing local distributions.

Beyond the numbers, the impact of the project was deeply felt within the communities. Families who received food assistance experienced reduced financial pressure during Ramadan, which allows them to focus more on spiritual practices. For many, the iftar gatherings were not only about meals, but about connection and bringing people together.

Key Outcomes

Emaan Foundation Cambodia extends its sincere appreciation to PRISM for their generous support, as well as to all partners and community leaders who contributed to the successful implementation of this program. Their collective efforts made it possible to deliver meaningful support to those who needed it most.
