Eid al-Adha is an important Islamic occasion that promotes sacrifice, compassion, and sharing with those in need. To support vulnerable Muslim communities in Cambodia, Emaan Foundation Cambodia (EFC) successfully implemented the Qurban Project 2026 from 1 April to 6 June 2026.

The project aimed to carry out Shariah-compliant Qurban slaughtering and distribute fresh meat fairly and hygienically to vulnerable families, including widows, orphans, elderly people, persons with disabilities, and low-income households.

Through the generous support of donors and partners, EFC successfully distributed a total of 18 cows and 12 goats across several locations in Cambodia.

The Qurban activities were conducted in Emaan International School (EIS), Koh Kong, Phnom Penh, Kampong Thom, and Prek Pra, 650 beneficiary families received approximately 0.8 kg of pure meat and 1 kg of bones per family. In Koh Kong, 176 families received 1 kg of pure meat per family, while 50 families in Phnom Penh also received 1 kg of meat each.

The project was implemented through organized slaughtering, hygienic meat handling, and systematic distribution with the support of volunteers, local committees, and community leaders. Livestock were sourced locally whenever possible to support local farmers and the local economy.

Together, we continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

May Allah accept the Qurban of all donors and reward them abundantly for their generosity and support.
