Ramadan Food Aid and Iftar Program 2026
During Ramadan 2026, Emaan Foundation Cambodia executed a food assistance initiative with USD 24,000 in funding from PRISM. The program targeted vulnerable families in rural Muslim communities struggling with daily food security.
The foundation distributed 500 food aid packages to families and organised 4,008 iftar meals across 42 mosques and community locations. Village leaders and mosque committees collaborated to identify households with greatest need and manage local distribution efforts.
Beyond immediate hunger relief, the initiative reduced financial strain during the holy month, allowing families to concentrate on spiritual observance. The communal iftar gatherings fostered social connection within participating communities.
- 500 families received food support
- 5,008 individuals benefited from iftar meals across 42 locations
- Reduced short-term food insecurity during Ramadan
- Enhanced community engagement and volunteer participation
The foundation expressed appreciation to PRISM and all implementing partners for enabling this meaningful community support program.
