Description
Eid al-Adha is a time for celebration and sharing. This proposal proposes a plan for distributing Qurban meat to ensure it reaches those in need within the community. This project has been a long-term effort by Emaan Foundation Cambodia (EFC). Fresh meat is annually distributed to thousands of families in the Muslim community in Cambodia. EFC will implement this campaign again this year with aiming to distribute fresh meat to 2000 beneficiaries especially needy families, widowed women, orphan children, poor, elderly, or disabled villagers during Eid Al-Adha days. To support the local economy, the cows are purchased from local suppliers. Each meat package contains 1kg to 1.5 kg.
Meat Distribution:
we proposed cattle and goats to be slaughtered in 2 formats:
1)Witness the slaughtering process, packing, and meat distribution.
2)Witness slaughtering only and the village’s committees distribute the meat.
Goal:
-To implement the Qurban project by delivering meat equitably to 2000 vulnerable beneficiaries, promoting the engagement of communities, and strengthening the spirit of unity during Eid al-Adha.
Project Outcome:
– Support for poor families during Eid al-Adha
– Local communities become active stakeholders in Qurban implementation
