Emaan Foundation Cambodia (EFC), in partnership with Emaan Catalyst Community, successfully implemented the Umrah Sponsorship Project 2025, enabling 36 underprivileged Cambodians to perform Umrah. Supported by a generous grant of USD 72,942.86 through PRISM, the project was implemented between January and December 2025 and completed as planned.
The project was designed to offer a life-changing spiritual opportunity to individuals from the low-income backgrounds, including widows, single mothers, recent converts to Islam, outstanding youths, students, and dedicated community workers. For many beneficiaries, this sponsorship made possible a journey to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah that would otherwise have been beyond their financial reach.
Beyond the pilgrimage itself, the project aims to create lasting impact by encouraging beneficiaries to sustain regular religious practices, take on positive leadership roles within their communities, and share their Umrah experiences through talks, mentorship, and community engagement. This approach fosters a ripple effect, extending the benefits of the project well beyond the original group of participants.
Beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donor, Mr. Nudgem and family, and to Emaan Foundation Cambodia, describing the sponsorship as a “golden opportunity” and a once-in-a-lifetime blessing. Many shared that the journey brought profound spiritual transformation, renewed faith, and a stronger sense of purpose in their personal and community lives.
